The gov't still has to approve the merger. They are arguing it will keep us ahead of China technologically. Seems to be a bit of a stretch, to me. For us truckers doing OTR, the only real option is Verizon, anyway. I'm curious how they are going to merge networks. From what I understand, they use different types of networks.

Stop drinking the cool aid. This ain't 1985 anymore.
I've got sprint on my laptop and at@t on my phone.
I do just fine and I'm OTR.
    I had t-mobile and they we're fine.
All for half the price of Verizon.

What a ridiculous statement that the only option
Is Verizon. Most drivers I know have straight talk
From Walmart and they have no problems.
You've been brainwashed by the Verizon commercials.

I've tried them all. Nobody beats Verizon on coverage. That's all I care about. When I need to make a call, I need a signal. One that doesn't drop. Only Verizon gives me a signal most of the time. The rest are just pretenders. I don't need Kool-aid, son. I have beer... and real world experience. ;)

AT&T is just as good as Verizon coast to coast, but you get what you pay for in the customer service department. Verizon wins that hands down. I have AT&T and rarely lose service and even when I do it's very briefly. I drive 48 states. Your experience may have been that Verizon is better, but as someone who has also had both, there is very little difference in coverage.

    @Razorwyr

I have AT&T’s and I lose my signal all over Mississippi on I55 and Hwy 25 and plenty of two lanes. I bought a sprint backup phone and it didn’t drop at all hardly.

Att has the better footprint. And they're doing really good at expanding what they already have.

As much as some would like to argue. Even verizon has dead spots.

But what happens when 5g rolls out. Will be anyones guess.

AT&T has decent coverage, but I had dropped calls like a mfer. Doesn't matter about making calls, if they drop after 30 seconds. I hate Verizon. They're a crappy company and treat their customers like crap. But, they are reliable. Until someone else comes along, they are the only option for me.

Don't know what's up with the font changing. Thank you TTR., o_O

I don't care about AT&T's footprint. They suck. They are dead to me.

Verizon has dead spots in Mississippi, Wyoming, West Virginia, near the Mexican border, but 98% of the time, I have service. No brainer for me.

I don't care about 5g. As long as I can make a call, and download midget Asian porn, I could care less about 5g. Maybe it's just me. ;)
