That "fuel solution" crap is something I won't do again. It sucks. Companies will have you waste time in line to get fuel 2 cents cheaper instead of rolling down the road a bit further and fueling up and trucking down the road. Very dumb.

I'm no longer with Andrus, They were good to me, just wanted more time at home so I accepted a job that I get home every other day and every weekend.
Big Don Thanks this. -
I drive for Andrus Transportation and am happy. They fit me, and I fit them. They are, as a whole, honest and honorable. There are always issues, we are human beings after all. Not every company will fit for you, or you for them. Some drivers don't like Andrus, many of us do. I know there are people out there sour on them, but there are always people sour on any company. What is good for me may not be good for you. If you have questions, ask and I will do my best to answer.

mt0969 - How long have you been with Andrus? What's their pay and mileage like?
-
I worked for Andrus but had to leave under unfortunate circumstances at home...Its been 6 months now and I am looking to return...first, there has been alot of changes there, newer trucks and trailers, pre pass in all trucks, csa is down 10 pts so that means less inspections for the driver, weekly fuel bonus (very obtainable), direct deposit or a mastercard to have your pay to go to! They are now in my eyes up to spped with the times and not so 90's with mail to your house checks etc...I do work locally but its a night shift position 7p-6a and pay is sub par at best...I always got home for 2 days after 8 days of driving otr. farthest est i went was Denver, alot of Cali, Utah, Idaho, Oregon...Thats what I like! havent made my mind up yet, weighing all options at this time but all in all not a bad experience my first go around! oh, pay is .305 to .325 cpm per experience per recruiter.

Crete never has and never will pre plan anyone. The average length any DM or dispatcher has been employed at Crete is 20 years. Sounds like you have no idea what your talking about. Now would you like your miles cut some more? I can arrange that by calling Isaac. You live where Crete does not do much business and your on their 45 day fleet. Means your out 45 days before they will think about getting you home. Get over yourself it's part of the industry.

I returned to ANDRUS in Sept... Things are great and I'm actually looking forward to finishing my trucking career out with them! I am now on a dedicated route and am I am off every weekend and go home once and twice during the week. I live 80 miles away from our start and stop point hense is why iIstay a few days at the truck stop during the week! Everyone is great to work with there! Anyone looking for a good company with a good home/otr balance, this is the place!

I was running on fumes and out of hours one night a few years ago and went into the T/A in Gary, IN. Very tight quarters. The guy ahead of me went in and had a pizza, leaving his truck on the island, then came out and fueled, and I was stuck there for over an hour because there wasn't room to get to a different lane.
Some people just don't get much upbringing.
Oops, that was supposed to be a quoted reply to the poster who mentioned the gal on the fuel island.Last edited: Feb 11, 2014

I had such a bad experience with Andrus that I will never ever go back to work for them and I will never have a kind word for them, I will do my best to run their name in the dirt

Any new info on them?
