Anheuser-Busch buying 40 Tesla trucks

I was reading the energy required to charge these units is incredible. It takes 1.6M watts to charge the thing, which is the equivalent of 300 average households. If that is true, I do not know, but I bet it is close. That is just one truck. Do the math.

 

Chances are it probably also recharges while braking(regenerative braking).

 

At least Bud-dummer still has the Clydesdales, if the truck runs out of battery power, hitch 'em up and pull it home.

 

If it comes to that they say it literally runs on horsepower.

 

Typical of ab ...they pooped all over the distributor drivers that were that ambassadors on the road .

Regenerating will not take you to full charge, or even 10% UNLESS you going downhill....all the way, from top of Mt. Everest ----> sea level (I know, I have a volt)

I'll do the math, but I am missing a variable: time. Is that 300 households a day, a week, a year???

If the figure is correct, and its a big if. It takes the same electricity to charge the truck 1 time that 300 average households burn in an entire day.

 

Well as the saying goes:YMMV.

 

Is this along the same lines as huge corporations having a huge industrial manufacturing complex that runs 3 cows on it to classify the property as a "farm" and cut the property taxes to virtually nill?

No doubt this is a huge tax benefit for A-B
