i was on a city street pulling a '53....saw a goose standing in the road from about a hundred yards away....i keep getting closer, he stands his ground...i keep thinking surely he will move

well he didnt....he just stood there as i went right over him about 40 mph....i think he caught my driveshaft....all i saw was feathers flying everywhere:biggrin_25523:

I've gotten a couple of squirrels, a couple of chipmunks, and a few birds. The biggest was a pheasant that took off from the median and hit the top edge of the windshield of my car.

Okay I have to add this: mind you I post this with some sarcasm as it involves my scum bucket soon to be ex spouse

He was driving for USX last year- 5 months and he was leaving the yard and had just crossed the railroad tracks (so lets say 5mph??? for arguements sake) and he ''saw'' a dog ''out of the corner of his eye'' and sweared to miss this ''said'' dog (mind you I think it was a pink polka a dotta dog....) and hit a pole...........

needless to say he lost his job after causing some damage to the tractor and to the utility pole he hit and still doesn't quit get why he was fired.........

Personally I think he ''had this accident'' to get out of driving!!!!!

1 bird so far, right in the windshield...I was moving at 65, he was flying slower...I own over 40 birds(ducks and silkie chickens) so I wasn't happy about it...

hahaha, I hit a skunk once at 4 am.

Asked the trucker that caught up with me if he smells a skunk. "yup" he says, "and it won't go away"

I told him I had hit one.

He turned off the road soon after. Lol

I've hit a couple of skunks in the last few years....The first one I hit I thought, "Oh great! Now my truck's gonna stink for a week!"
By the end of the day it was pretty much gone and you could only smell it a little if you were right next to the left front wheel that squished him.

By the next day it was completely gone so when I hit the second skunk a year or so later....I wasn't too concerned.
