Our trucks have the manual shift in autos unlocked. Might be a dc to dc thing. Or they could have just forgot to disable... who knows
A little OT but i removed the fuse panel in my daily driver and CUT the contact on circuit board which eliminated the beeper. Its frigging awesome.
Well, this is what happens when half the idiots hired to hold a wheel find their phones more interesting than actually doing their job.......
It’s the side sensor that is annoying, and nothing you can do about it. It goes off even if you signal and there is a vehicle two lanes over!! Used to be able to shut it off, but with the new update they are doing to all the trucks, it’s not defeatable anymore. Too annoying to deal with and tired of being treated like a first year driver...currently looking for other options.
This is why Walmart is no longer the creme of the crop driving jobs..they want robots apparently...sam walton would rolling over in his grave to see what has happened to this company.
Yeah, it’s wasn’t Sam Waltons Walmart anymore when I started last January, and it’s even worse now. Yet they wonder why they are close to industry turnover rate at some DCs....they are even moving automatic trucks around to DCs that really need drivers and hiring drivers with Auto only restrictions on their CDLs!!! I s@#* you not!
Our new Freightiners at ABF have the feature where if you open door while backing up the horn blows. Beep beep beep. Anything to annoy the driver.
That feature is to alert you if the door is open anytime while in gear. Forward or reverse, which when you think about it isn't all bad if you leave an automatic transmission in gear and then try to jump out to drop a trailer...
