Myself...... I do not understand a takeover. But for organized institutional buying to develop someone is seeing value somehow, somewhere. That said, we are unsure exactly where these buyers bought in. If you look at an USAK chart it has had a nice run from $2 to over $5 in recent months and is consolidating near its top. This usually means the stock has more room to run upward. But the point is these buyers are in and probably in relatively low. For all we know they can be exiting as we speak. But I feel that is unlikely. Institutional investors are often in for much longer periods....... 5+ years. If I can ever remember, I will query who are the greater of shareholders in USAK. These investors are savy with industry specifics and understand financial ratios and other data that offer insight unknown to us. They probably see something we have no idea about.

I am not pushing anything on my behalf. It all can be taken with a grain of salt or discounted as free information, but here is a page I run where I included technical insight on USAK. http://stockcharts.com/public/1164099 USAK data can be seen in the area with a "pb" prefix (currently on page eight). The page is 100% honest and no hocus-pocus. Data is real time.

In another aspect of USAK stock ownership, insiders have made several purchases in the last six months. This says something is in the undercurrents we are not aware of. While the amounts purchased were 10,000 shares or less those purchases were widespread among upper crust insiders. These subtle nudges of positive ebb and flow visible to the public promoted my USA decision. I believe overall goodness often trickles down to us grunts.

    Good luck to us all.

a guy I worked with in 1988 had some chart software and could not figure it out. He asked for my help. I have been a technial analysis student ever since..... reading several books on it. I don't expect anyone to understand it but I genuinely believe it has strong merit for suggesting the future. If nothing else, it can be viewed as a moving snapshot for those interested in the stock. Thanks for taking the time to look.

MMmmm b careful. Insiders buy and sell for tax reasons and to generate churn. This breeds a buying frenzy " cause the insiders bought" meaning they must know something.

Yeah, they know the stock is worthless so they buy...then you buy, then they sell at a profit .........

One day, should we ever meet and free time is present, I'll show a few tricks in determining if what you say is present.

    Good luck to us all,

If you went far enough back in these thread man you would see where I said the same thing. When I say takeover its just me entertaining everyone elses assessment that USA truck has any real market value. You on the money. There is nothing they have to put on the table that another trucking outfit won't be able to easily aquire without absorbing 140 million in debt.

If you look at the tables of institutional ownership there is 22% in pocket there. This is not unusual overall. What is interesting (to me) is newcommers of the private variety. Mutual funds are one thing. They distribute risk through varied investment within an industry meeting specific criteria, and they often try to pick bottoms. The private institutions are more diverse in reason for being attracted to one position or another. Board membership, proxy control, etc. are some possible reasons they place tentacles where they do. It is these who have vision that is not understood.

While their ante is only but a few million dollars each it is their interest in a vehicle that some consider a sinking ship with a changing of the captain that I find interesting. These people are far from reckless. They do not sling money from ship to ship without reason. And if a trade, they would certainly pick a stock with far more volume than USAK .to assure market liquidity upon their exit. A quick survey suggests USAK average daily volume is not much more than 30,000 shares - not something a trader would dare enter. There are reasons they lurk and enter.

An improving financial picture for USAK is surfacing. Sinking ships do not steer well and water can be slow to remove but it is becoming visible that efforts are being made to right that ship. Whether or not it is enough remains to be seen.

A torpedo has hit the bow of the ship and is/has done much damage. It was fired from fuel economy and its impact is causing many a seasoned driver to man the lifeboats and head for sanity with other companies. How will this impact the stock price? Only time will tell. Watch closely the next few weeks.
