Well, Im 64 and live out in Cali and I pay $65 a month for full coverage on a 2020 Jeep. Pretty cheap I'd say.kemosabi49, Blue Zombie Trucker and okiedokie Thank this.

Yes. But you will start to see an increase. I'm actually still licensed to sell insurance.
-
Well that sucks!

Young cost due to lack of experience. Old due to declining reflexes.

I’m doing my best to adhere to your load delivery philosophy. I’m doing better, but not there yet. Today, I have 3 drop and hooks in Los Angeles and started the day thinking, go slow and just get the job done. Half way there and going smooth. Stress free so far. It does have to do with how one approach’s the job. A guy can fail even before beginning with the wrong attitude.Bud A. and Blue Zombie Trucker Thank this.

Ah the joys of running a red light thinking one can make it safely.

We have a driver at my company who is 78 years old. He just comes in and does one local load a day then goes home. No signs that he might retire. On his oversize loads, someone has to throw his straps over for him but he is still a great driver at his age.
Bud A., rachi, 86scotty and 1 other person Thank this. -
Add a point you are correct but Commercial is different. Ask around, old truckers are cheaper to insure and companies are glad to have them, up to a point.rachi Thanks this.
