Well heres something else to which doesn't make sense to me:

They gave me two options, I could run western regional or national and be out of Salt Lake City, either way. However, if I ran western regional, Id have to drop off the truck at the teriminal in SLC for my days off and then make a more than 2 hour trip home (and then back to SLC to work). OR, I could run national and they could bring me home under a load. Why can't they get me home under a load either way? If Im only going to be home for a day or two...

Just got off the horn with them and my application is approved, although I probably will need to fill out another app as its oinly good for 60 days...Darn...i was hoping to get my foot in the door and I havent started Sage yet.

    Tip,
I just went to Cheyenne on Thursday to pick up a Penske rental truck. I did notice a fairly large building on the way there and noticed a bunch of red trucks. However, on the way back, I noticed most of the trailers there were WM trailers and I THINK the trucks were Englands? They were all bunched together, but from the size of the building, I figured it was a DC for Wal Mart.

yeppers. it's a dual purpose d/c I think. one side frozen, the other dry. Or that was the way it looked to me. Otherwise it's one of the biggest wallyworlds I have ever seen. And England can have it, most of the Walmart dedicated Crete has (except the York, NE one) are having trouble keeping drivers. Not enough miles and/or pay.

yes, they built a very nice (but small) place just east of town on I-80. It is the same exit as the Sapp Bros truckstop. Head to Sapp and there is a small bar/restaurant, then the motel, then the truckstop, then a repair facility, and if you continue beyond that (west bound) on the service road, the next place is a white building behind a fence with trucks parked near the roadway and the terminal building in the middle of the lot. VERY nice place to stop with laundry, showers, and a great drivers lounge with the most comfortable easy chairs I've enjoyed in a long time! (I was out of hours after giving a ride to a driver who was sideswiped back in Laramie and needed to get back to Cheyenne).
If you have a couple of hours, stop in, sit in the lounge, look at the bookcase, and read "Tuesdays With Morrie".bb.
