I’m driving down the major highway, cruise on...
A sudden gust of Mother Nature sneezing, the trailer shudders.
Then the truck jumps around like a bull in a rodeo as the loaded trailer disconnects causing the air bags to spring up under pressure.
The truck crashes due to loss of control from sudden drop of weight as the trailer drops off.

Everyone in the video looks under 30. I don't trust them with this.
Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
The tank I pull has an anti rollover package. If it thinks I'm going too fast around a bend it'll apply the brakes. It's version of too fast and my version of too fast are 2 very different speeds. I requested it be disconnected after the first time I drove it in the winter. As sensitive as that setup was I'd be very skeptical on having a system that unlatches the 5th wheel

lawsuits from 100 four wheeler drivers that drove bumper to bumper at 80 mph after they crash into the trailer that took off after the fifth wheel unlatched.
How would I be able to blame the system for disconnecting my trailer to everyone?Another Canadian driver and pumpkinishere Thank this. -
easy...place the blame on the defective product, let them suffer in the lawsuits.Last edited: May 14, 2022

What took them so long?
This innovation should have been done 50 years ago. -
education and the ability to think for ones self is the solution to this problem.
Educated people who think for themselves in trucking?
There are enough of them. But the others are a significant percentage.
What do you do with them? Invent smart devices that will save their bacon.
FMCSA will have a saying in it becoming reality or not.
NTSA too.
