OK "ARNOLD" guys........can you refute this last post? I don't see a lot of "complainers" of ATS, I'm hoping its still a good company for you guys, especially since I live in Jacksonville!
Any new info on Arnold?

Why would you pick arnold,
just because they're in jax ?? -
I've spoken to a number of ARNOLD drivers and they LOVE working for ARNOLD.......I haven't spoken to anybody that is not happy.......
so yes, if this is a good company, why not, it's right down the street!
And I rode into their lot today and saw dozens of brand NEW PETERBILTS!
So unless somebody can convince me otherwise, I am leaning toward ARNOLD!
ANY ARNOLD DRIVERS OUT THERE!123456 Thanks this. -

Because I've talked to 2 current drivers and they love ARNOLD! -
Here's my current Arnold sitrep: Last week mileage total was 1113, mostly bouncing 'tween DFW-HOU. A/C problems with the truck. Bunk blows ambient only, and cab fan control died. GP shop got the fan going, but failed to address the bunk AC. sat at GP yard all from fri til sun afternoon when I got a load to Tulsa for 0600 mon. Due for time-off mon & tue with a dr appt in okc at 1000 mon. Empty out and DH to okc for appt. When I'm done there and ready to go home, I get a 1100mi pre-plan. Since I'm desperate for miles, I take it. reloaded thurs with a 1600mi load, but I'm still due for hometime, and no A/C.
FM OKs me to divert to okc to drop ld and get tractor to dealer, since GP shop is incompetent. Dropped it off yesterday and am home for the weekend. -
Last Saturday, the air compressor failed in GP. Into shop status...
Did a local with daycab, then Sunday, FM sends me to Dallas KW to pick up another T660 auto trans. I don't know what it had been in for, but it was obvious by midday Monday the EGR cooler was compromised on this one, the same as my last one. Bunk A/C blows ambient. Seems like deja-vu all over again. Load to Indy, coolant loss is 3 gallons per day (500-600mi). CD player goes down, taking my new Van Halen CD.
There is a noticeable drag or catch felt in the steering taking off or turning at low speed. I reset home time for 14th/15th and I reload in Chicago for DFW. As I jam across the show-me on I-44, the tranny gets "shifty". After dropping to 9th on a hill, it wont upshift to 10th. No joy trying manual select. Now I'm afraid to stop in case it becomes a wrecker call. I finally stop in Joplin and it resets<whew>. Now that the shifting is iffy, I get ok to take it to OKC KW. That was Fri morning. When I called today, all the issues had been fixed except the steering issue. They needed to call USX breakdown to get auth to replace some steering driveline shaft and to advise them of that. Should be ready tomorrow... another 5 days of lost productivity.

5 days ???????
dang..... -
sircharles.......how's your trip going with the trainer? I'm set for orientation in Jax (I live in Jax) next Wednesday, got anything I should look out for? How was the "road test" at orientation?
Good Luck, my friend! -
I've been thinking that since the GP shop is clearly understaffed and underskilled, that drivers are avoiding writing anything up due to the huge amount of time lost. It's a prescription for bad CSA numbers for maintenance, and driver turnover.
123456 Thanks this.
