i will walk before I take a greyhound anywhere. It’s almost insulting that some trucking companies use greyhound for transportation.

Man if you need a job and don’t have a lot of cash and the company wants to put you on the dog I’d swallow my pride and go get the job.

With that in mind. Western uses the dog. I drove myself and they reimbursed my gas receipt.

I flat refuse to use the hound again. I rent a car, instead. Carrier usually reimburses me after hire, anyway.

Life gets a lot easier once you gain control of your financial situation.

    *HOWLS.... for another hit. /snarky

*Crackhound. HA. that's rich. I'll never ride another ever again.

I cannot tell you how some of those drivers put up with a very public display of skills when that big slush box slides on a bit of ice and snow.

In Soviet Russia the bus rides you.

Go Greyhound and leave the driving to us! That was their slogan back when I was a kid. The last time I rode the hound was in 1990, from Missoula to Las Vegas, never again. I'd ride a bicycle first!

man, if you can't, do. If you can, don't.
Not everybody has the same pocket. And there's a whole lot worse ways of going from point A to point B than Greyhound.
    Sounds like the OP didn't

    Cerberus XVI Thanks this.

Greyhound has a little station in our town. A couple of weeks ago all the passengers had to get off the bus because of an insect infestation of some kind.
I don't know what the bugs were but all the passengers...there weren't many...were taken to a local clinic for debugging. A few of the passengers were given new clothing because the clothes they had on were too infested and filthy for anything but burning. A nurse at the clinic described some of the clothing as "crusty and foul".
Some of the passengers were obviously under the influence of something and the cops wound up arresting three of them on outstanding warrants.
Greyhound sent a new driver, the old one quit and caught a cab to the airport.
The bus was debugged, the remaining passengers boarded, and that was the end of the excitement.
I used to admire Greyhound drivers. I still do but for entirely different reasons.
