    themoj0.....

I see one or two women hanging out a lot but I do not know their names. I see another at school panting and complaining between breathes. Jennifer may be the cowgirl/eyeglasses one....... tight jeans and shirts.......... shorter brown/redish hair.... etc, etc, etc. The other is shorter, heavier and longer hair with glasses. Hell, I don't know. i'm here to get a new license.

This is close to what i expected. material may be a little more technical than originally thought. I know a handful are having trouble with it.

I try studying in the lobby but it is usually too rowdy there.

Yeah she was just cause for alot of drama. Have you passed all of your written exams yet? If not, goto cristcdl.com find the link that says " take our online exam" the questions will be on the left side of the screen. the best thing about this site is that you can see what you got wrong..so that way youre not getting the same ones wrong over and over. some of my classmates were having trouble, so i told them about the site..and it helped. i pulled all of the hazmat questions from that site..and made a study guide. i got my endorsement on tuesday :D

i never hung in the lobby. i stayed in my room all most all of the time. i got lucky. i had a few extra bucks, so i paid the almost 500.oo, and had my own room. was worth every penny.

Yep. DMV came out yesterday and gave the exams. I think 8 or 9 out of 31 or so got through all of them.

Kinda wish I had the private room. Too late now! LOL 5th Amendment and all that.

    Off to see the Wizard.

I'll be leaving when you get here. Be prepared to do some work. There will be plenty to read and practice.

I will begin driving next week.

Go to Mapquest and alter the given route from the hotel to school. Stretch the route drawing to use I-465W and I-65N to East Raymond Street. This path will save you a lot of turns and traffic and save you more than 5 minutes in drive time.

Many students are eliminated the first week. My class has lost about half in five days.

Be safe. Be positive. Stay focused.

My application is still pending. ugh My driver agent at Driver Solutions is starting to get a little frustrated with them too. She just told me she would call me the moment she heard yes or no, rather than setting up yet another call where she would just tell me there was nothing new.

I guess the good thing about it all is that I'll have plenty of time to study. :) Keep this post updated, if you don't mine, to let me/us know how the driving part goes (time you get to drive, etc.).

Today (Saturday) we go in for a couple hours of classroom time and then are encouraged to stick around and become familiar with the trucks (without a key) to familiarize ourselves with the pretrip inspection. I am good to go on the driving training so will progress to outdoor training on Monday. For now, my only concern will be getting my rythym for double clutching.

Many students will make another trip to the DMV office for retesting on parts of the written CDL exam (today). I would guess about 1/3 are in that shape.

Do not underestimate the classroom work. Beyond the CDL exams will be tests on Logs, Math, DOT regulations, HazMat, etc. I assume these are for the general job itself or the carrier you will be working for. You MUST pass each and every one of them...... else be left behind...... no exceptions. You will read, write and learn. You can not avoid it. Be prepared.

The wife wants me to come home today and return tomorrow. I am eating crackers but she wants me to spend $50 to $60 on fuel to come see her. Women!!!!!!!!!!

    ONE IMPORTANT THOUGHT.........

Students are discovering they do not understand what the difference is between PAM and USA Trucking: PAM is mostly team driving. USA is mostly solo driving. A few people did not know this until they were hooked on the contract. UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE SIGNING UP FOR.

btw........ PAM appears to have a small terminal adjacent to the Drivers Solutions property. Plenty of moving trucks throughout the day.

I have no idea. I am told USA and PAM hire nearly exclusively through Drivers Solutions. I also hear Schnieder (and another I cannot remember) sometimes hires a few through there.

There are cheaper schools. Some comapnies would rather not incur such expense. It seems Drivers Solutions has all your paperwork complete and all any employer would need do is talk to you on the phone. I spoke with a USA HR woman on Thursday. She told me to get my license and come on to USA. So, that is me...... I'm goin' to USA.

I learned today road testing begins the Tuesday of your third week. That is seven school days from today....... The twelth day overall. Ya gotta stay focused here. Not much time for lollygaggin'.
