Anyone earn their private pilot certificate while running OTR?

    I want my pilots licence I get off 5 days a month max usually a reset on the weekends took a flight today my god it was awesome haven’t flew a Cessna in like 10 years I was younger and there was this little fear factor before now being a trucker I got bigger balls I guess felt no fear got some heavy turbulence lol. It’s fought the instructor said being gone a month then trying to cram things in anyone do this successfully have any tips was thinking of using other schools across the country and try to cordinate instruction. Ground school I can do on my own. I’m just looking for a real trucker who actually goes places not I’m home everyday. In my opinion home daily anit really trucking is it?

    I'm a CFI and have been for over forty years. I was going to answer your questions about getting a PPL but since I don't truck coast to coast and usually go home every night I guess I don't qualify as a "real trucker".

    I'd love to start a recycling company. Everything from old cars to yard waste...there's money to be had in all of it. It's just my idea of recycling a car is a lot more labor intensive than just slamming it into a crusher.

    Pffft. I respect anyone who turns the key and smells diesel.

    That may also indicate a leak, but we're not getting into that right now.

    I have my pilots license. I would say if you weren’t flying pretty regularly it would take a while to figure it out. With that said it could be done. Also there are places where you take two weeks all day everyday and you earn your license at the end.
