    I don’t have a problem getting rid of the drug addicts either. In fact if I take my driver hat off and put my carrier owner hat on. It has potential to make me a lot of money. I just think he’s dishonest about his real intentions.

    @06driver sure knows how to shed a tear. Bravo driver, but you missed your calling.

    I’ve yet to see a rational reason from you. Yeah i’ve a ton of crying, a bunch of fear mongering, a whole lot of idiotic rambling, but i can’t find the rational.

    Again, why does how another drivers “RODS” affect you?

    Why must others conform to your way of thinking and acting?

    Now can you please answer them two questions without all the drama?

    I wouldn’t presume to know the exact reasons for his agenda. But, and to your point, you can rest assured it is strictly self serving and geared toward one thing and one thing only. Money!

    It most certainly has nothing to do with safety. These jackwagon, slick tongue, suits couldn’t care less about the “motoring public”.

    The HOS rules alone should tell you that. What is safe about someone being able to work 70 hrs a week for eternity? NOTHING! Yet, it’s legal to do it should one choose to do so.

    There should be no ridiculous exemptions from ELDS. Plain and simple it is the government picking losers and winners. If you operate on public roads, you are subject to public law, and should not be treated better or worse than any other road user. So just the basis of these exemptions reeks of cronyism, graft, and political pandering to farmers, special interest groups, and large freight companies.

    I don't give a crap if folks agree with me or not. Few could keep up, and no one could conform because I serve my interest. I expect you to serve yours.

    Really? Because it sure seems that you want everybody to serve your interest.

    Speaking of level playin fields....

    Bus Drivers have different H. O.S. Then truck drivers (Both use public roads)

    How about the Trains?

    Airplane pilots?

    Sea/Ship Captains?

    All serve the same purpose of both you and i. The transportation of frieght for money.

    How about different state laws conserning hos & Rods?

    You have tunnel vision & should seek help. I operate under the bs ag exemption. How i run my business is none of your business. I don’t really give 2 sharts how much you try to make my business yours, it is still none of yours!

    Honestly i wonder about people like you. Now i’m gonna ask a legit question...i think you are the kind of person that would...on the basis of fare is fare, i got screwed so you have to feel the pain as well.

    Anyway, my question...

    If you were infected with AIDS, would you keep your mouth shut & go on with your love life as nothing is wrong? Would you tell them before, after, ever? Would you infect as many people as possible, so others feel your pain?

    Would you get a job a McDonald’s as a burger maker & nick your finger before your shift and go gloveless?

    Again, after reading this thread, i 100% expect you to answer yes to all of the above questions. After all if it’s ok for one it’s ok for all. Smh

    Buses and trains and airplanes are not Semi Tractor trailer operation on an interstate. Straw man ad nauseum arguments when you hear what you do not like, and need a safe space to go play in.

    All your questions about aids is ignorant trolling. And it is fair is fair and no I believe a fair is where you go for cotton candy.

    What you are is a Edited by moderator operating on subsidies and specialized rules because you can not hack it in a free market economy. That is the reason for the exemptions, and farm welfare, crop insurance.....

    No one should get special consideration. A concept completely foreign to those on the government (read other peoples money) take.

    A friend of mine is a Pilot for Southwestern. Their HOS setup, while not exactly the same, is similar.

    Ship captains? I like that! I wanna hear Forrest Gump say:

    “Lt. Dan, it’s time for your mandatory thirty minute break. Lt. Day-An! Lt. Day-An! It’s time for a nap!”

    It's no coincidence that the companies that make up the "Trucking Alliance" are also some of the more vocal members of the ATA and the Truckload Carriers Association. All are controlled by the megas and surely care nothing about the drivers they employ.
