Anyone here on ketogenic diet ?

    avocado , nuts, and olives is where u should get all your fats from if u can

    u should eat 40 grams or more of fiber per day man.. one avocado not going to cut it lol

    yes i've read about this .. u dont burn tons of xtra calories per day jsut cus u have lots of muscle but yes does burn maybe like 50 calories a day .. etc.. research it

    True its not a lot extra but I'd rather be a muscular 168lbs vs fat 168lbs. I'm a firm believer in calories in vs calories out. Its worked great for me. I went from 230lbs and very little muscle mass to a lean and muscular 168lbs just by cleaning up my diet of sugar and junk food and adding in 30-60 minutes of moderate weight lifting 2 or 3 times a week and an hour 2x a week running or hitting a heavy bag.

    Older folks frequently need less calories because we carry less muscle mass, and are normally at least a little less active. Baseline metabolism can also slow down as the thyroid ages.

    Add those three things together, and it can make a fair difference in calorie needs.
