I lost 52 lbs in 7 months. But i got tired of having to pull over 2 or 3 times in the morning to let old faithful spew off its built up pressure. That was the worst part. Tried fiber chews and such but they didnt help. Took 3 months after i quit dieting to have a normal turd. I think theres much healthier diets out there, but it definatley works if you want to loose weight.
Anyone here on ketogenic diet ?

Straight protein diet no sugar stop the beer because it's giving you carbs 250 lb drop to 175 in 2 months

So one glass or even three (of whisky) on a Saturday night does not throw a person out of ketosis? No carbs in there, I guess. Still wonder if it helps or messes up the diet flow.

Whiskeys have zero carbs. They will not directly impact ketosis. However your body can still turn the alcohol into calories. They also impair your willpower and after a couple drinks you might want to munch some pizza, pretzels, or make the next drink with a mixer - and most mixers have lots of carbs.TallJoe Thanks this.

Alcohol of any kind 'Stalls' ketosis. Since your body focuses on the alcohol when you drink it your body will stop burning fat and only burn the alcohol until it is all gone. Then resume fat. So keep that in mind.TallJoe and Farmerbob1 Thank this. -
I didn't scroll all the pages because some of the posts are a month old but I'm way into fitness and nutrition if anyone needs help with keto

I'm giving this keto thing a shot too. Almost a week now. Indeed, after a few days already I shed like 5 lbs of water. I am amazed that I was so full of it. I am 6.5 and 280lbs. Now 275. Headaches are gone, so I think I am past that keto flue. I don't think, I'll go with it after reaching my desired weight of 200, even though I feel all right and the cravings for donuts with a morning coffee are gone, I still would not mind that loaded baked potato alongside a bone in ribeye or bite that juicy peach or a glass of Chivas Regal on Saturday while I watch my sports. So sustaining it for years does not seem very possible for me, knowing how much I love food. I'd rather exercise and do some physical activities but for now I simply got too heavy for any cardio exercises. Only walking at brisk pace is an option. I'd love to swim on daily basis but it is not an option either. I need to resume weight lifting while at home too.
tucker and Farmerbob1 Thank this. -
Most spirits are good to go. If you need a drink it's much better than grabbing a beerFarmerbob1 and TallJoe Thank this.

A few kinds of mixed drinks are fine too, if you really dont care for drinking hard alcohol straight. Whiskey and black coffee, for example. Obviously, anything cut with water will be fine. Diet sodas are rarely used in mixers, but if you experiment, you might find something drinkable. Toss in a bit of squeezings from a single slice of citrus is not going to do any real damage either.

Jack and Coke Zero or vanilla Coke zero and rum are my go to. If I'm craving beer it's Mich ultra Amber gold
