Have a casual meet and greet after work with the driver manager. Anyone have any thoughts on the company?
Currently work for a miller/tobacco distributor, which I like a lot but 44k a year with free medical really isn't cutting it. I'm just hard pressed to leave as I like clocking out around noon =p
Anyone work for AAA Cooper?

@Shaggy
Talked to an AAA driver in Memphis a bit, seemed as happy as any other LTL local driver.
Might want to add Southeastern Freight lines & Wilson trucking to your list as well; they have the same general running area. -
The other LTLs in my area are pretty much never hiring. Averitt hires, but only for Otr linehauling which requires you to have a teammate.
I originally looked into OD and Estes. I did this application for AAA a long time ago honestly surprised they called me after almost 3 months I thinkNeed4Speed Thanks this. -

I thought you were a AAA linehaul driver?
Maybe I am mixing you up with someone else famous on here -
archangelic peon Thanks this.

Think I'm gonna take it. The starting rate is roughly $4900 more a year than what I make now. Average driver works 40-45 if I choose not to do dock work.
Plus have the option to do linehaul on weekends if I'd like. Seems like a small yard I believe 13 trucks in total.archangelic peon Thanks this. -
If you are in Memphis, Estes and ODFL ARE HIRING. They pay much more than AAA.
-
I'm in Florida. I dont know OD or Estes pay, but I was given RL, Saia, and xpo pay rate and it's lower than AAA.
RL 21.06Hr
XPO 20.77
Saia 21.49
AAA 21.75
^South Florida entry rates.
Not by much a dollar and some change. Linehaul pays 60cpm trucks governed at 65 at AAA.Last edited: May 18, 2018
