Currently working on getting leased onto/with a carrier. ( my truck, not a lease purchase ) I've just passed the third week of the "application" process and information comes back randomly and slowly.

    Some context

This application was started Dec. 21, 2017.

The hiring/qualifying personnel has been out on medical leave. This has left a few people who don't normally handle the qualification process within this agency.

Last but not least, I'm aware the process began at the most in-opportune time regarding the holidays.

My question is simply this, for those who have or are still leased on with the carrier you drive with. How long did it take for you to begin hauling loads for them after starting the application process?

Just a few days, then ran for several months before going to orientation.
Don't think it works that way now.

Depends on who the carrier is. When I was qualifying for landstar I was trying to stay out on the road which made it more of a pain in the a. When it's up LS to get something done and back to you there is all the time in the world, when they need something from you they need it yesterday.

Gotta imagine that isn't just a Land-star quality lol. This would be my first entry into the owner op field after 18 years driving. I'm used to the call, get on a bus and start working within 5-10 days. Sounds like I can relax a bit longer.
