Approaching a direct shipper/customer

    this is why you don’t waste your time with large companies. Go small, they appreciate other small companies & they tend to prefer service over price. CR England, Swift, KLLM, etc… don’t really care if they pick a load up three days late, pick it up on time & deliver it a week late. A single truck guy does care because his reputation is everything. The mega carriers work on cheap pricing & capacity, an o/o can’t provide that.

    I got my shipper by going to the farm with the fancy reefers of the road and asking for people's numbers.
    I got ahold of the farm owner and then the produce buyers (the money guys) then ONLY after approval I went to their little cave shook his hand, that was it
    After that it was as they say with produce 3 or 4 a week as many as you can do...
