Arnold Drivers, What's your 20?

In the Petro shop in N Little Rock. No brake lts to trailer even after I swapped in a new pigtail. Unknown if it's related, but the gauges have been going nuts. Tach,speedo,oil temp/press, water temp all have been swinging but have now locked up as well as the digital odometer. After this one, I'll never have another auto tranny truck. ever.

 

Petro says it's the ECM causing all of the issues. Breakdown says see Pete in LR Monday. I guess it's movie weekend for us.

Spent the day at Pete in LR. The main electrical bus/panel/wtf is FUBAR and it will be 10 days to get the part. 10 days? wtf? Ok, should be getting a rental car tomorrow to go recover some other quality piece of equipment.... In hotel tonight using the complimentary WiFi.
I joked with my FM this morning that I had an offer of .38 from another outfit, and he says hold up 'cause a pay announcement was coming this week.... Holding breath... :-/

 

My son called from home to say that we received a "robo-call" from Arnold today to say that SW regional drivers can make up to .40mi!
TDC in Joplin is running fresh ads on CL offering .39 vs the .37 they were starting at with weekend hometime.
Arnold has gone to trying to get us to take our hometime on the weekend vs during the week. Even though I stay out for 2 weeks, every weekend the planners seem to plan me on something that can go thru home with 34-48 hrs off, even though it's I had not sent the time off req macro.
It may be a good sign that competition is in play which will be good for driver wages....

 

I called this morning and was told nothing would be decided until after a 0930 meeting and they would call at 1030 with a plan. No call, so I get through at 1115 after several trys and the call being cut off after being transferred to FM. Now he tells me that breakdown says truck will be ready this afternoon. Now I'm on hold while he confirms this. While on hold, I called Pete from the room phone. They say there has been no change in the truck's status, and that it could take up to 10 days to get the part. So who is lying to who??

 

My FM lied when he told me they couldn't put me in another truck because breakdown controlled that. I guess he didn't think I might call breakdown myself to vett his story.
It appears that GP ops want's me to sit and wait, yet lacks the basic leadership skills to tell me and comp me more than $35 daily. I called the driver liaison in Jax and left a msg on Ben Smith's phone. Sheesh, it's like when your kids lie and don't understand how you can smell the BS....

 

Still at hotel in LR. FM says I'll get a rental car today for travel to GP for another truck. 5 days down so far. Did have time to apply at one or two company websites while here on our "Little Rock Vacation".

 

When we went to Pete to get our gear out of the truck and load the rental car, the tech came out and told us he just got the part and the truck would be ready today. I guess I won't have to move our Sat Radio subscription after all.
