No way. .33 is the starting number. They claim $40,000 on their Craigslist ads for compensation. Not in Realville....

    No. You'll see either .32 or .33

.07 of it will be Perdiem. So .25 or .26

Talk about a bold faced lie the recruiter fed you

Are they forcing the per-diem now? When I started, it was "offered" during orientation, and I explained to the new kids the IRS ramifications as well as the little detail that the company was charging .03mi out of their pay rate, thereby charging them for the privilege. Just swell! Payroll has to process your pay every week anyway. It costs them nothing to do the per-diem scam.
    BOHICA.....

If I'm not mistaken that .42 a mile is for north east regional pay. That is for the folks that will live and drive strictly in the New England States.

It is automatic. You have to sign to opt out of it.

I will be heading up for orientation this Wednesday. I'm looking foreword to getting back out on the road. I guess you might be seeing two Arnold trucks in NSB from time to time :)

So, I just got done with day one of orientation. I am a little concerned about this per diem. Anyone have an explain action as to why anyone would ever pay $0.04 per mile to do per diem? It seems suspect. Other than that everything else about Arnold looks and feels good.

Any company that charges employees a rate for something they are entitled to by law is trying to pull a fast one.

What is the cpm rate with and without per diem?

Just opt-out of the per-diem and claim it on your 1040.
