I take it this was a usa trl the other driver left?and USA should have called the DOT on this driver? Why would they wanna do that,USA will be in just as much trouble. What happens with the drivers like falsifying logs or any safety issue reflects the carriers safety rating.USA should take care of this problem but chooses not to.So if they don't care they certainly won't call the DOT.You said you picked up the trailer, why if it was in such disarray?.Any broken down trailers you pick up would make you as guilty as the previous driver. You're going to learn thruout your carreer not to get mad about a driver leaving crap for the next driver. You do not take it and ask your company for another trl and tell them why. They'll either handle it or let it sit.I don't sweat the small stuff.

First off God has nothing to do with it so leave him out of it,second im not on peoplenet and could care less about it,thirdly its on the front of your daily log, fourthly I do write em up when I find something wrong and send in a macro when I find something wrong on a post trip inspection on a trailer that I drop at a customer,so what else Klatu? for someone that was not mentioned by name in my previous comment or quoted you sure are sensitive.Life is that simple,if people don't or cant do their jobs they should work somewhere they can.You moved onto better for your own reasons which is what life is all about, its just that easy and simple Klatu,it was not that hard for you to find another job,it was simple correct Klatu?

Your right about USA not taking care of it, your wrong about me leaving without getting necessary repairs made. I WILL NOT pull any trailer down the road that will not pass DOT inspection. Period. I also do not leave trailers broke down for the next guy. As a matter of fact I am getting a tire repaired right now that I found upon post trip.

Firstly: So you are stating on an open forum, that you intentionally falsify your logs? Your not going to prep it for the next guy? Why not, you checked the box on your logs that says "I detect no defect or deficiency in this motor vehicle as would be likely to affect the safety of its operation or result in it's mechanical breakdown" and you post your trailer number right above, and then sign. That is clearly making a false statement.

Actually I do know how many you can have before you won't have a job. Like I said before I care about my points and always ask the questions that need to be asked, such as "how many can I have" (not that I want any mind you). The answer is, you are rated between your peers. You are pooled into a class of 100 of your fellow peers. You are then rated amongst those peers as to what you had wrong and the severity of it. If you are rated 100 out of 100, hang it up you are done. Anyways this is the policy with USA as I was just discussing it with a safety guy, and no I am no where close to being 100. Now granted the closer you are to 100, the closer you are to losing your job and/or career.

Me personally I did'nt cause that trl to be broke down so im not going to burn up my hrs getting it fixed unless the company gives me some kind of compensation.USA should have routed that driver back to the shp and have him sit and wait for trl to get fixed.USA is a pretty big outfit, how are drivers going to learn responsibility when other drivers take their dirty work off their hands. But USA lets it happen so they'll never learn.

You are talking about me fat dady. BTW, Im still at 0 CSA points and just received my 5th "Safe Driver" award along with another "Top Gun" award. I do my job and USA has made it crystal clear that I am welcome here.

I totally agree that they should call the driver that left the bum trailer and make them sit and wait on repairs, I am 100% with you on that one, but it sucks when (like yesterday) I pick up a pre-loaded trailer and it is in such disarray. Personally, I would think the shipper should be blamed a bit to for checking in a trailer that looked like that.

You also have to keep in mind that USA has a lot of new inexperienced drivers that inadvertently leave behind equipment that has problems without ever realizing it. USA knows this and that is most definitely one of the reasons they are so relaxed on this sort of thing.

I know it.You would think if they value their freight they would'nt have even loaded it.But some just don't care. They just want to hurry up an get the day over with.
