I'd look seriously at Leonard's Express. This company has local/regional/OTR. Will also reimburse cdl school tuition back to you. If you decide to move to another state, won't have to change companies because Leonard's hires all over the USA. Home - Leonards
The majority of the smaller companies, 50-100 trucks, still run manual. Do not pay full CDL price for a license that will limit you on jobs.

Don’t. Strictly train on auto. @Chinatown is a heavy drinker and often posts crazy thoughts like training on both.

Maybe 99% of Big companies may run autos, but most small companies run manuals. Here in Northern California I couldn’t tell you of any small company that runs autos.
