I could see doing that combined with a shorepower only version of Carrier's APU. (You can order them that way). Basically have the internal AC/Heat and such(Since with Carrier its all electric anyways, no belt compressor for the AC and heat is electric element), then run that generator to it so it thinks you're on shorepower. You'd have the best of both worlds.
That would be the route I would go if my Carrier engine unit perminantly dies.

Hard to kill that Kubota. Gen is gonna kick out before that engine. Unless you go and skip routine services

Recently put in a Cascadia with IdleFree. When charged, it's good for about a day.
It's nice and quiet. I'm still getting an idea of how long it last depending on whether I run other things off the apu outlets. -
They usually try and rate those for about 8 hrs. 4 battery PK?

What's to wire? Extension chord ran from the generator. You'd have no cab control.

Its really simple.
The Honda EU3000IS has 3 AC outlets. A single 3 prong 30 amp and 2 regular (20 amps for both) outlets.
What I did was mounted a standard household 4 outlet inside that you can buy at any hardware store,.. Lowes, Home Depot, Ace etc,. and wired it to a 3 prong 30 amp plug. Thats the orange wire you see in the box. It goes out a small hole in the box,.. up along side the frame and then directly up under the sleeper into my outlet inside.
Hurstlfzebra, BlackThought and redoctober83 Thank this. -
Cannot kill the cheaper Honda version without the full case. Have had it on the tractor for years. AC in the summer, plug in the block heater in the winter. Even saved my rear by using the battery charger on it to bring the batteries back from the dead. $1800 at your local Honda Outdoor Dealer...
