Average Pay Today?

what in the world!?

 

I made more during my training period ..
My paycheck this Wednesday will probably be the same or worse bc I've been sitting so long for the better part of 2 weeks.

They tried putting me on a dedicated account couple weeks ago and they were so unorganized apparently the company didn't even need us.

Then they have me do 1 otr load last week and sitting the rest of the time saying they're gonna put me on another dedicated account that I supposedly get 2000 miles of pay (which is still only about $400 something after taxes with their bottom of the barrel cpm) and more if I run more . But this route don't start till tomorrow so the paycheck this week will be god awful.

I'm eating chips and ####in beef jerky till I get the next ####ty paycheck

I got over 700 miles YESTERDAY.

This past week started out badly, Sunday-Wednesday I did 1000 miles. I was considering the possibilities of me putting in a 2 week notice if next week was also garbage.

Then Thursday to Saturday I cranked out an additional 1700+ miles so the job has been saved once more.

700 miles in one day means I made over 450 dollars in one day. Has to be my record driving a truck.

I'm already set up for orientation with another company that pays alot better . But orientation doesn't start till 8.24 .

I won't stay here unless somehow magically this dedicated route pays alot more than I think it will. Which I seriously doubted.

My highest paycheck with this company has been 490 after taxes. I doubt the dedicated route will pay much more than that with the cpm I'm getting. Usually got 350 or so most weeks. Lately been getting the 100 somethings bc sitting too much .

 

is there a reason you haven’t driven the truck back to the yard and caught a flight home? And or found another job by now already? Did you just start or something?

Dude, his paycheck barely covers a couple trips to the Iron Skillet and now you're talking about airline tickets?

 

Yea I can't even afford to go home now. Unless I called a relative to come pick me up from a terminal . I'm broke. Only thing that solves that is a couple decent paychecks at least
