Have a load of 60' beams to haul. 48' spread with solid bulkhead on the trailer, so will have about 15' of overhang on the back. 48000 load, I'm about 31000 empty, so won't be over gross. I'm thinking this will be a divisible load, so have to keep trailer axle weights under 20k. I'm a little concerned about being over on the axles. Over length permits not an issue. How do you guys do it, or can you even make it work?
Axle weights and permits on over length I beams

You may end up between 38-42k on the spread by my estimate.
CAXPT Thanks this. -
Man..
That bulkhead is going to be a major issue.
I always scooted 5 ft forward(all I could do without being in headache rack) as my airlines were run under the rack.
Then You only have 7’ stuck over the rear.
Your going be over axleCAXPT Thanks this. -
Exactly what I was thinking.
Am I correct in thinking that since it's beams that it's divisible and can't permit the over axle?CAXPT Thanks this. -

I am with cke. Your going to be 42+ on your spread
And you won’t be able to get a permit because it’s divisible
Only way you’re going to make it work is to loose the bulkheadCAXPT, Phoenix Heavy Haul and cke Thank this. -
How much overhang can you have before you need a pilot car ?
how many different states are
You traveling through ? -
cke Thanks this.
