Beware of B2B Transportation Services, Inc. MC# 00477720. These folks do their best to avoid communications with you in writing. Whatever they promise you, they will renege on. These folks are dishonest and not transparent at all. They are shady and crooked brokers. Once you deliver the cargo to the customer, they don't follow through with any detention fees or any additional cost incurred. We took a load for them in December. The load was scheduled for pickup at 12:00 PM. My driver got there 11:00 AM and waiting. By 1PM, they told him the load is not ready and probably won't be ready today. We emailed the woman broker at B2B to update her. She asked my driver to stay and wait, keep track of his time and she will pay detention. Driver relay this to our dispatch team. We followed up with email to let her know that her rate con doesn't specify what their detention rate is so if she wants driver to wait, here's a copy of our policy and what we charge for detention ($150/hr) after 2 hours. She replied back, "I told the driver to keep track of his time and I would pay detention if needed." Note, she didn't disagree with our detention rate or negotiate the rate. Her response solidify that she agreed. So we had the driver waited. By 5:00PM, shipper finally load my driver. After we delivered the cargo to their customer, we are getting ready to invoice the broker and followed up with email to B2B and asked her (the broker) to update the rate con to reflect the detention hours and fee of $300 (from 3PM-5PM/2hours). At this point is when she reneged on her promise. After the cargo is already delivered, she decided she wasn't going to follow through with her promise to pay detention. I contacted her office brand and was forwarded to her boss. I explained the situation and told him that I have email communications and text message of promise to pay detention. Her supervisor said he'll investigate and get back to me. After two hours, he calls back and said he's going to back her because there is no signed agreement to pay detention. I advise him, the agreement is in email and it's in black and white. Her statement informing driver to "keep track of time and she will pay detention if needed" is a verbal and written agreement regardless if it was on the original rate con or not. The fact is that the communication is in writing. Least to say, he was an ######E and hung up on me. I then followed up with several emails to the woman broker and she finally agreed to pay $100 but not the full $300. I told her that had she been honest and transparent about what they're willing to pay in detention, we would have reassigned drive to another load instead of waiting and delivered her load for her. Time is money and she wasted my driver's time and it cost us. She didn't give a S###. So, to all carriers out there, be careful with B2B Transportation Services. - If you decide to take a load for them and shipper is not ready, just move on. Don't try to be nice and wait. B2B employees are all the same, they will lie to you to get you to stay and deliver the load but once complete the load, they don't give a F### about you, your time loss or your billing. Don't fall victim to them as we did.

Always get an updated Rate Con if the circumstances change. Always check the credit score of the broker.

But, of course, you did pay your driver the full $300 he was owed, right?

Ive learned always, get an updated rate con prior to being loaded if detention is agreed upon. The "keep track of your time" crap doesnt fly anymore with me....
