I pull both, one week 28s the next week 50s and my trick is say three times out loud, im pulling a 28, lol! That work for me.

LOL. We've all been there. I couldn't walk within 10 ft of a truck and get greased. Truck grease is the worst!

Oh yea! That can be all day! Hate a dirty greasy dolly !!

When we were in school we were all talking about wanting to go with companies that pulled pups, I said the same thing until one day at work I got put in one, and absolutely made myself look like an idiot with it. What killed me about that is I pick up and got very good at backing very quickly, even in school which I always assumed was my years of towing and being used to reverse backing, yet when I went back to something small I completely went to crap.

I must be an exception to the rule - but after 8 years of pups, guess who looked like a rookie with his 53' flat . . .

I drive a tri axle dump or quad axle dump all day. It didn't take long to learn because I only drove a 53ft trailer for two weeks after I graduated. It reacts fast but if you hit it with smaller inputs from go then it will bend and just gotta catch it fast. It also has what I call a pull up point and that is when it bends sharp enough it will keep going in circles forever. If you think it's tough try backing down a closed expressway to get loaded in reverse high.
It is all I know so it seems easy to me but I work with driving veterans who struggle with it because they drove 53's for most of their life
kimbosa Thanks this.
