Not sure why the bank needs to know anything about trucking.
My bank needs to know about money and offer good rates on any loans. Thats all I care about.
Comdata etc,.. its llike Paypal,.. you set up an account,. you put money into it,.. you use it where people need guaranteed funds. I am personally done with Commi-data and their fees. I just use my bank cards now.

Interesting you folks still need to deal with banks in person, waste of time IMO.
I have not been inside a bank in 15 years. Everything can be done online including mortgages/loans etc. Current bank I deal with(Manulife Bank) does not even have a "brick and mortar" building within 800 miles of my little acre of frozen tundra. -
I have 6 accounts with Bank of America plus 3 of their credit cards, wife’s truck was financed through em. You Couldn’t ask for a easier way to do buisness, I haven’t stepped foot in a branch for years and can do pretty much anything on mobile banking.. I’m sure I could get a more “personal” experience at a small bank in town but why in the heck would I give up the convienance and the safety of being with a bank the size of boa..

We don’t run OTR, but as long as there are still local banks available, I’ll never have anything to do with a national or regional chain again.
I was at a local bank that got bought out by a national chain. All of a sudden, the people at my branch couldn’t make a decision on anything, it all had to go through the main office and you were nothing but a number.
On top of that, I had a truck loan that I was I was making payments on, they were cashing the checks, but they weren’t crediting the account. It was a big mess getting that fixed and there is still a ding on my credit over it. It got so bad I was worried they were going to repo the truck, even though they were cashing the payment checks.
I walked into the local branch one day, demanded all my money in cash, walked out, and never went back. I can put up with a lot of crap, but not when you are screwing with my money.whoopNride, mtoo and Pedigreed Bulldog Thank this. -
Most bankers are not familiar with a Comdata or EFS checks. You can deposit them but it might take days for someone inside the bank to credit your account.
The #1 trucking bank is Transportation Alliance Bank (TAB). -
Transportation alliance bank. Or TAB

I had about 15yrs of wonderful experience with them, until they kinda wrecked my life. Dont mess with BOA.starmac Thanks this. -
There are lots of times I like to just cash a check too, instead of deposit it, how could a guy do that online.
I would not put all my trust in computers, nor all my eggs in one basket, either. -
But online? We only did it with Navy Federal and extremely little on my end currently, there is a human in our security who oversees my account by request whenever I move or wire money in near real time. Online for us was a way to bypass the 600 dollar limit on spending. 4 checking accounts makes 2400 dollars that can be moved in a day each month to another credit union etc without trouble.
