This company is a joke. As an owner operator. I worked 26 days the load pays 1000.00 per day they take 24% plus they charge you 1100. For their insurance... I have my own but they require you to buy theirs ... hazmat 11 million policy . I spent 5400 in fuel I took home, less than 8k out of 26k .. company drivers do well, if you are an owner operator RUN AWAY!!!

Take home $8k a month & thats bad? Company drivers make more than $8k a month? You didn't know the pie chart breakdown before you started hooking loads? $96k take home is twice the national average & $25k more on avg then what they pay a company driver.

76% of $26k is $19760 minus $1100 is $18660 minus $5400 is $13260. Where did the other $5260 go if you only got $8k?

Company drivers with experience are making 6 to 8k a month running dump trucks, tankers flat bed.. I've ran tankers for 20 years I made 70k a year as a company driver in 2000 if owner operators are not making 2 to 3 time what a company driver does. You guys are fools for being in business for yourself.. I was in New Mexico hauling crude oil for 5 years. I would gross 25 to 30k a month these were my expenses..
    Truck 3500.
    Trailer 1400
    Insurance 875
    Monthly permits 275
    Fuel 5,500
    Elogs 180.
    Escrow 200
    Workmans comp 350
    So roughly 12k
My take home 13 to 18k
That's what we all should be doing as owner operators.. if you settle for less why would the shippers pay more?

I know guys who work for companies that take home about 350 a week and they love every minute of it. Living in the truck 25 to 28 days a month on top of it. And these are guys who have 20+ years of experience.

Times change, your niche is more competitive which means lower rates. It's not settling, it's supply & demand. Only the entitlement crowd thinks it is settling.
