If ya'll couldn't at that one another truck stop closer would have been nice.
remembering when I was in training... went through 3 . the last one insisted on paying for meals, never went 2 days with out a shower, 2 days was too long and bathrooms were always available, however the trips were on routes that provided those amenities at the time. since then, I have been told no bathrooms were available when picking up or delivering, rare, but it happens. its tough when your on a 10.. why take a ten there? it just works out that way sometimes with planning, the clock and not knowing whats up at each end. I"ve also been out to what seems like the middle of no where. .. good luck!

There are limits. You found yours. And I say "good move"!
You tried, no doubt. But enough was more than enough. I hope your next trainer resembles a human being. Best of luck!pjay Thanks this. -
WOW! Still friends to this day with my trainer. I only rode with him for about a week and a half and had it down. These days it seems like most companies use trainees as nothing more than cheap co-drivers.
drvrtech77, 48Packard and Everett Thank this. -
Well gee, if YOU say so...

Now that's a little too...um..."dedicated". I've been real early to places, but not that early unless it was a drop and hook. But if she's going to do that she needs to outfit the truck a little better. She needs a fridge and at least a microwave.
That's not the way it is, but it does happen sometimes. I got to a place at what I thought was 3 hrs early. Turned out dispatch goofed and they weren't open for another day. Then they wouldn't unload us for 8 hours. We just sat parked out there because the truck stops were about 50 miles away and didn't feel like doing the extra 100 miles.
She should have called to see when they opened. It might be the way it is for her because she doesn't work smart. I always try to deliver early, but it doesn't always work out.pjay Thanks this. -
True...always call if you deliver early..no point getting there and staying there for that many hrs....try to make trucking as comfortable as you can...hurry up and wait once you get there does not always work. ..not all trips you have to be there early

Good luck glad to see you got out maybe things will be great from here!

I'll bet your trainer is one of those real hot "keeper" types that any guy would want to take home to mom.
Just... just EEEWW. Ask that cow if she makes friends and family go in her backyard when they come to visit her home.... on second thought... I seriously doubt anyone would WANT to voluntarily go into her home/cardboard box/lean-to/van down by the river.
What a pig. Never thought I'd hear of a female acting that way. -
PJAY,
Thanks so much for having the courage to open a thread to alert us what you're going through during the course of your training. Although it has been a difficult thing for you to live through, reading your thread has been a learning experience for me and other newbies also entering the field. As a fellow female I'm proud for you changing trainers. Reminds me of that quote from that old movie Galaxy Quest: "Never give up! Never surrender!"
Hopefully, the rest of your training will be without incident.
Ellie
