Guys, I can't make heads or tails out of this storm. One hour the radar looks like it's going to stay on 70, the next it looks like it's headed for 80. Got about 4 inches in Grand Island today so far. I say so far because it was supposed to be done around 1400 but somebody forgot to let the storm in on that. I'm not really under any great pressure to drop off and reload but I don't want to just set on my arse for no good reason. So put on your meteorologist hat and help me sort this out...I'm bored as hell.

Hope you brought a shovel. They don't have any more left near me, in any direction.

You can expect a good delay out of this.

Think you’ll be able to keep this good run when the weather turns better? Or, is it a good run only when weather sucks?

I can have this lap anytime I want it. When I called.the broker today to let them.know I was setting out a snowstorm I also mentioned is be staying close to home for a few weeks. She made it abundantly clear that it would be there when I was ready to move out again.

I grabbed a load out of Joliet today and ran southwest with it, but got stuck in MO on 44 due to an interstate closure.

Only lost an hour of drive time, but yes, the storm is acting oddly. Last night I saw nothing to indicate any significant snow more than a little ways south of 70.

I have never used it, but it looks like there is a major road that goes around Elk Mountain to the North. US-30 through Medicine Bow.

Any Wyomites know if that is a good Elk Mountain bypass for a truck?

30 can be a good bypass fo 80 over elk. It has been known to get shut down and stay closed for some time. Not a lot of population out that way

I've been noticing that lately if 80 is closed over Elk they close 30 too.
