The idea is to treat it as exercise. Be smart. Warm up, loosen up. Don’t jump on it cold and expect to not injure yourself. A lot of those injuries will be micro tears to ligaments. They build up to big injuries.
The biggest thing that fails guys in Seal hell week is overuse injuries.
    Just be smart.

Sometimes pay scales just aren't supposed to make sense. If it did, reefer jobs would pay more than the highest paying dry van jobs. I had that thought last night, as I passed a warehouse with 20 reefer trucks waiting on the shoulder to get in. Been there, done that.

While beer is a great beverage. It should not be your primary form of sustenance. Yes it has a lot of carbohydrates and thus calories. It’s the lack of protein thats the problem. Sure you can go longer without food than liquids. Certain functions begin to shut down in as little as three days without liquids of some sort. Protein deficiency leads to a number of health problems. So I would have to say the better choice is food.

from my experience they target the green horns because they’re the only ones who will do it for cheap.

beer company hires cheap labour to compensate for possible accidents due to inexperienced labour being cheap.

My area it’s a daily rate and some sort of case rate.

like… $140 a day and a nickel for ever case on the truck. Oh, and “Chinese overtime”, not sure if that’s legally anymore but that’s how I was paid about a decade ago.

I can assume that the salary is different because of the companies. Logistics companies are used to allocating some specific industries in which they will be engaged in transportation. They buy or lease trucks, hire drivers, and pay them a salary. Perhaps transporting food requires more skills, and paying for the work itself is more. For example, many restaurants can earn monthly revenue in a few days. Field services receive good pay as opaorlando.com. I think they also have their drivers. Everything will become clear when the food truck driver sees this topic.

Food anything is money. If your plant goes bad, the government comes in and cleans house. Refrigeration and spoilage is insanely expensive. You can’t just sit on food in a warehouse like you can beer. Everything related to perishables is hard work. And you don’t get a title like “the beer guy” either.
