What are the regulations on beer. Obviously, no drinking and driving. However, if say you are driving through a state that sells a particular brand not found at home, you purchase a six pack then store it in truck and don't partake until you are actually physically out of the truck and sitting in your laz-boy at the house is that legal or a no no?

From what I've read, that's a BIG no-no.

10/4 then I won't do it. I see so many people talking on that truckers path app (review section) "they have beer" and others commenting not supposed to drink alcohol in a cmv then the back and forth of "my break I can do what I want"

If you get caught with alcohol bottles open, in a truck it can be bad.
If you are parked and want to drink in the truck, do so with doors locked, and curtains shut. Make sure bottles are tossed out before moving.
If you buy beer for use at home, you could put in fridge, under bunk, or on cat walk.
Never have had a fridge inspected yet.Canadianhauler21, Maj. Jackhole and Puppage Thank this. -
Regulations in the US are pretty strict on alcohol. Can't even have it in the cab when moving.
Canada it can be in the truck, just placed out of reach (under the bed or in a cupboard).Puppage Thanks this. -
Any alcohol must be stored in the trailer, and have a B/L. Any alcohol in the cab can result in a nasty fine and a big red flag on your psp. However...I've never been searched, so if it were under the bunk, away from the important stuff like your triangles or your fire extinguisher, they're not likely to see it, unless you're the lucky random driver of the week that gets their 1 search.

I used to regularly park at the Circle K outside Newberry Springs, CA and down a few talls in the bunk. Would just toss the evidence in the brush for the rattlesnakes to enjoy before pulling away in the morning

If you decide to have a 34 in your truck. Make sure you cover your driver's seat with anything and everything. Make sure no ignition keys In reach or accessible. Enter and exit from passenger side of vehicle.
