Well, I'm not that random, and if you check my location it is in the general area, and all the wellness plans in the world don't add up to taking a shower . . . and I'm ever so sorry if I upset you with my nasty observation, but I don't walk around with the rose colored glasses on - and sometimes I need a nose peg for myself when my butt has been in the seat a while.
Here, I'll go back and edit my quote so you can have a better day!
Before I get too set on Prime...

In truth things come pouring out of EVERYONES trucks. Like a wellness plan will ever change that. Prime hires by the same dot standards as everyone else so why would we be any different than anyone else? When I was "interviewed" (they called it an interview lol) we all waited in line. When it was my turn i went in the office sat down said Hi how are you! My "interviewer" gave me a dirty look and barked "wheres your $100 i need your $100" (cost $100 for the background check)i coughed it up and the "interviewer" ran my background check and said "yep you look good, next". My point is we dont have an interview process that is designed to get an idea of ones character or intelligence, the interview processes consisted of mvr check, background check, employment history check, and dot physical we dont have "special" hiring standards so why would we be any better than anyone else. I could find a homeless crackhead clean them up long enough to pass the drug test and the above and send them off to prime for a job. Im in aww by the why you taken offense to one harmless yet truthfull comment thats been made which was not directed at you. I wanted to comment because i have passed the front door of prime and your flat out wrong! Youve managed turn to a thread which was useful to someone into a discussion about your pride for a company. That said primes is a good company to work for but to think that were some how different due to our hiring standards our wellness plan is a mistake.Last edited: Jun 12, 2014
blairandgretchen Thanks this. -
Well said.
I like my company, but I'm realistic - we're not all angels.
I meet lots of Prime drivers every week, they're an average representation of the industry. -
You're the one turning this thread into something else. The OP asked specific questions about a specific company and a dozen or so random drivers who know nothing about the company in question piped up with opinions about what goes on at that company... those aren't specific answers to what the OP asked. I merely pointed that out. Then there's the usual spew from numbers.
As to your latest opinion about Prime's hiring practices, your wrong. Your crackhead would get ushered out pretty quick. And my own experience at orientation was quite the opposite. I found everyone to be quite professional. The $100... nothing more than would be asked of any applicant at any driving school. I went through SAGE to get my CDL, and was expected to pay my costs. You must have the hiring process at a trucking company confused with welfare. -
Well, here I sit in my room at the Campus Inn. Orientation starts bright and early @7am tomorrow. Here we go!
