Benson stepdeck hub sight glass

I don't see how you check fluid on these with solid cover on the hub? How go you check fluid level?

 

It's grease, or a semi fluid synthetic grease, not oil.

It does not need to be regulary inspected. Check for leaking wheel seals , and run.

 

So how do you check it and when are you supposed to replace it?

 

If you don't have a wheel seal or hub cap leaking, you're GTG.

I jack mine up every 3-4 months and check bearing play. The older my trailer gets, I'll do that more frequently

 

For specific guidelines, i'm sure Hendricksons website has specific maintenance guidelines
