    Hi everyone
I am an owner opp driving with open decks around. Mostly flatbeds.
I am about to buy a new 53 foot all aluminum rear sliding axle flatbed trailer because my rental 2019 great dane freedom lt starts problems with suspension.
I made my search and I see reviews are mixed and I can not come to a conclusion
    I am otr since 2019
I drive with reitnouer bigger bubba then I had fontaine revolution and now I have a great dane freedom LT. Generally all was the same. Because the longest I keep a trailer was around two years. Now I need something to withstand 10 years :) If there is one…
I hear good reviews about Mac, Reitnouer and Great Dane. Some say East, all so confusing.
I need an aluminum trailer because my truck is volvo and it is heavy. I scaled 21800lbs bobtail with 300 gallons of fuel topped up
I checked the market and found some new Wabash with 52k lbs beam rating with great price and they are around 9650lbs
When I gone to see the trailers they looked cheap to me. Material feels weak. Maybe it it new technology but I had that feeling
Mac and Great dane trailers are $10k expensive than Wabash but also they have 60k lbs beam rating and they feel better
Only Reitnouer new I found was CK90 models around same prices and they are not so welcomed by some drivers
As you see I am lost and I need your valuable thoughts.
I carry max 48000lbs loads I need the lightest and most durable
I carry 45k coils sometimes and 48k lumber and etc
I will be glad if we come to a conclusion about which is the best flatbed to buy

I wouldn’t buy anything but a Wilson or Mac if I were buying brand new.

Very happy with my 2020 Wilson combo step deck. Still looks great, all the original paint is on the frame. All its needed since then is typical.... fix some lights here and there, grease, tires, airbags, and an an axle of shoes. Next year it could use Pivot bushings on #1+2. Wiring burnt up so fixed that with a proper junction box. Thats not a Wilson thing though, but a Grote. 10 year harness warranty my ###. "Oh sorry, doesnt cover corrosion" Well htf would it fail any other way?

I plan to replace at year 10 but I know its got a lot more in it than that. Might just end up refurbing the conestoga kit with a new tarp, wheels and rails and call er a day

My buddy bought a brand new east about 10 years ago. One morning in the winter time when everything was frozen, a forklift operator dropped a pallet of roofing shingles on his deck that had a little gravel frozen and stuck to the bottom of the pallet……punched a 1” hole in the deck and he has boycotted East ever since as “cheap”. He sold it and bought a Wilson and apologized to his dad for “not listening!”

If I buy a new one, I will see if there’s a 48x102 Wilson Premiere with disc brakes and a front lift available. If not I will look for a Mac if I can’t find either, it will not be an “upgrade”.

I just sold my truck and trailer a couple months ago but if I did it all over again ( never actually will ) I'd go with either another Reitnouer Maxmiser or MAC. Both have the best resale value and both are great wagons.

Definitely would get disc brakes, lift axle, and tire inflation system on a new one. Mine had all 3 and IMO worth every penny.

The CK90 model is the lower end Reitnouer ( not saying it's bad )but I wouldn't let that deter you from buying either a Maxmiser or Big Bubba.

Honestly over 7 years owning my last Reitnouer the only two problems ( besides normal maintenance items ) I had were the rear wiring harness for the "extra" chicken lights at the bottom of the tail portion of the trailer went out a couple time. Definitely wouldn't purchase another one that has 90 lights on it from the factory. Just get the standard light package...

And the second is this piece of angle aluminum that mounts the steel piece which the shocks mount to snapped as pictured... Easy fix ( did it myself ) but a well known issue to Reitnouer. All the dealerships stock that angle piece which is like $20 or so... pictured below.

Probably hauled more heavy loads of roofing shingles than anything else but lots of coils, sheet steel, and beams...

The Reitnouer dealership I sold it to went over it with a find tooth comb prior to making me an offer and it had no cracks at all. Believe the mileage on it was around 780k.

I'm sure you're going to get 20 different answers on here but Goodluck.
