I have an AT&T data plan on my phone. I then use my phone as a hotspot to connect my tablet, laptop and the TV in my sleeper. The only place I've lost data connectivity is in Iowa along a few parts of US 63.
Best provider for data coverage?

I think I was charged $15 per GB of overage with Verizon. Cingular used to charge me $5 per MB.
Sprints price plan is going to make a dent on the others. Verizon and ATT will have no choice but to reduce pricing or offer more. I love competition.
Even though it costs more,.. and yeah I agree,.. its pricey at times. Until I find a better service, I'll stay with Verizon.
I mean whats the alternative? Satellite service with a Vue cube? Verizon is still a cheaper alternative. Satellite data rates are off the reservation in comparison.

I have metro pcs. Works everywhere tmobile works. Tmobile customers really are getting cheated. They dont realize its the same coverage as metro pcs and costs way more.
Im team so whenever i dont have data and a dispatcher or someone needs to be contacted i just use my co-driver's phone (she has verizon) lol. -
I've had Verizon for more than 10 years. I've been using my phone as a hotspot since 4g was introduced. I spend the extra every few years to buy an updated phone for cash so I can keep my $29 unlimited data plan. I use anywhere between 100-200 gig a month depending on how busy freight is, and I seldom have an issue streaming Netflix or Youtube where ever I stop. The worst area is out west, but it's improving. There are places I still get 1x out there, but mostly 4g LTE...especially since they started deploying their XLTE upgrade. My Q/comm is a cell based, and I was told by my last company that q/comm uses Sprint as a carrier, and it has gaps in coverage on it all over the place.

How far away can a good signal boost antenna pick up a signal? Would most companies let you install one?
