No surprise. Anyone that doesn’t have sense enough to steer clear of these lease purchase scams isn’t going to have sense enough to understand taxes either.

 

Whoever created fleece was a genius honestly. Make drivers pay for our crap with a slight "increase" in pay. Genius

 

Right. And when the economy goes to crap? ... no big deal. Some poor contractor is on the hook to continue the same fixed payments during the slow times.

 

Yeah, and they often sell the same truck over and over and over.

 

If anyone would like to see how well being an "independent contractor" works out, just look at the California (nationwide for that matter) FedEx "owner operators" feel about their experiences.

 

Tenstreet is from the same company that puts out Intelliapp. They store a lot of data on drivers and are going to become a breach target someday. You should never ever give anyone your social security number until they agree to hire you and need it for payroll. Intelliapp demands it up front before you can even apply.

If you apply through them they will sell your application info to companies you did not apply to, while positioning that as a service to you. Not sure if they give the original company you applied to a cut of what they get.

There's a Youtube interview with the owner or founder and his face has lots of tells when he's talking. They link to it on their site, so that's how smart they are, or how smart they think we are.
