"I hope they get this straight and eliminate this insane idea of an EOBR being attached to the truck in order for it to function. "
They probably won't get it straight. They might not even come close; after all it is the government we're talking about. I know it's coming, but I bet you see something similar to Cali and CARB backing off their regs at the last minute (for a while). I mean they haven't even got the CDLIS thing to work so you don't need a med card on you, and its been about three years. All trucks with electronic logs is going to be complicated enough that it should be good for a drawn out cluster-you-know-what.
Also, I spend most of my time where cell phones are useless. How does that work with all these electronic doodads?

The new guidance is only a couple weeks old that now allows you to keep them digital if you sign them digital. I would print a copy and keep it with you to "politely" inform any officer that is still on the old process.
On key that I am seeing that drivers are getting hit on is not having the DOT card printed out. -
Cetane+ Thanks this.

So I'm guessing no one has heard of a device that plugs into your truck that would allow Big Road to be used as an ELD?

This seems to be the cat's ###. Can anyone recommend a good windows based tablet? Verizon has been ripping me a new one for years. I may just get whatever they've got. But hey I always got a signal!!!
