If I stick one of those bike carriers in the 2 inch receiver hole in the front bumper and strap my bike on it, will I be overlength? I mean those MVT trucks have that wind tunnel thing on the back of their trailers, why can't I add something to the front that is useful?

What I propose to do is modify the bike stand by cutting it, rewelding an elbow on it so that just pulling a pin, the stand and bike strapped to it would lay forward just above the ground with enough clearance for the hood. when done, lift bike and stand up and reinsert pin and keeper and keep on truckin'
I had a cargo carrier on the back of my pickup that could fold up like that.

Shouldn't be over length though right, we have about 3 feet to play with typically-- dry van 53'?

ummm wouldnt a moose bumper be better ?
i really cant see a bike stopping a large animal from coming thru the grill
uless of course you want to ride the bike--but that would be sily--a person might stay in shape that way--it would ruin the image
and no--you wont be overlength--unless that kw has a heck of a wheel base on it

I thought it would be better to install a bike mount on the back of the cab.

A recruiter that was courting our class told me that I could do that, but the shop had to do the install. I asked this question after she said that we had to buy our own inverters, but the shop had to do the install. They will even take out the passenger seat if you don't want it.

I would make sure it doesnt block any lights, that might be a future problem related to the DOT
Or Think folding bike and keep it in the sleeper.

I used to love that gum when I was a kid. The flavor is awesome... for about 3.5 seconds, then ya gotta spit it out. :biggrin_2559:
