I am right there with you, but the frustration and lies got to be to much for me. During their season you will be paid .45 per mile and will average around 3000 miles per week. The season ends the first of October and your pay will drop to .41 and the mile will be good if you can do 2000 miles with lots of short stops that have odd hours to be open. No PODS facility is open on Sunday so if you have a 4 or 5 stop load it might take you 6 days to get it all off and only be 1200 miles.
Not bad benefits, but not until 90 days. They ran me around $50 per week.
Great dispatchers on the PODS account, but they do not do the load planning, PODS does. PODS has no clue as to the FMCSA laws and how long it will take you to get from point A to point B. They will over promise to their customers and expect you to grow a jet and make it happen. If you don't, they will remember your name and you will get crappy loads to punish you even though there was nothing you could do about it. Again, Blackhawk's dispatcher are just that, they do no load planning and really can not push back on PODS. They will go to bat for you and attempt to change things, but rarely will PODS move off their stand.
Right now they have no open trucks as they are growing way to fast. They have many accounts that have put huge demands on them to supply trucks and of course, drivers. They can not get enough trucks to seat the drivers that are buzzing around the recruiting office wanting a job. Don't expect recruiting to call you back any time soon, they are swamped with calls, but rarely will you get a call back. If you want to work there, call every day and use Facebook as a method to get them to call you back.
Good luck, I loved the job, but could not deal with the BS.
