I just crossed heading to Ottawa, ON and I don't think I got any extra pay... But it wasn't a big deal at all... All, the strip search by the French Canadian border patrolman was rather enjoyable... of the truck that is.

They really didn't understand why I kept my meds in an "ammo" box... LOL

Ha!, the Canucks really get their uniform in a bunch if they find anything linked to a "gun".....A ha, an "ammo can", there must be a gun here too, find it.....All kidding aside, don't bring a gun to NY or Canada, you will be going to jail, even if you have a valid CC permit from your own State, no matter that you're a good guy, they don't recognize any other State permit.....

    It was rather entertaining ...

I was wondering if all the gun questions was normal. He asked "are you familiar with our laws?"... I wasn't sure which laws he was talking about. He looked at me and said "about guns"... I guess I was a bit to casual in saying "oh, I'm not carrying"... He then a bit more sternly said "well im going to educate you"... Now feeling my casual response didn't go over well I sobered up and said "ok sir, please continue"... He said "they are not allowed"... LOL ... Ok sir... Tell the guy not carrying a gun that they don't allow them... Ok, it's their way...

Then it was all made clear when on the way to have a background check done, the guy asked "so why do you carry your meds in an ammo box"... Then it was all made clear... The questions and education... All due to a couple plastic boxes... LOL

Looking forward to returning again soon.

My hourly rate of 27.00 per hour. The average is 25-50 bucks for truckload guys, those that get paid for it.
