BP is buying TA

BP? British Petroleum? Anybody remember the Deepwater Horizon spill?
Maybe they'll be better at running a bunch of scabby truckstops than they were at accepting responsibility for their screwup in the GOM.

BP has a bad name from 20+ years ago and it shows IMO. They sold dirty gas years ago, they lie, they are dirty stores and always empty in my area. If you have a BP and a whatever next to it, the whatever store is always crowded and the BP has either no cars or 1.

BP once owned TA way back in the 70's for awhile when they bought it from Ryder I believe. It came with a merger deal but was sold off to Hospitality Group. It has bounced around for quite sometime, ups and downs and hopefully makes a turn around but that is probably not going to happen. At least they should let Petro go and be independent again away from TA.
