On Sunday, September 8th, 2013, the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) will begin "Brake Safety Week 2013".
From September 8th, through September 14th, the CVSA will be conducing level IV inspections of commercial motor vehicles in the United States and Canada, and the primary focus will be the vehicle's air brake system.
During CVSA's Brake Safety Week, inspectors will be inspecting brake adjustment (pushrod travel), brake linings (thickness and condition), brake drums (inspecting for cracks/damage), low air pressure warning devices, air leaks, and checking air lines for damage (chafing). ...
In addition to brake systems, inspectors will also be checking drivers licences and registration.

sapp bros. checked my breaks in july. oregon checked my brakes 3 weeks ago. i'm broke down in denver with a bad valve leaking air somewhere. and the brakes are still there.

Ive asked myself that question a million times.Sfety starts and stops at their convenience.They must think no safety during the night time and in adverse conditions.I would pay to see an officer do an inspection in 20 below,lol.

Some do have overnight parking of I have slept in them. Also got kicked out of one, was litterlally told to go sleep on the ramp.
