Good to know @windsmith. Luckily it’s a company owned truck but I will definitely keep that in mind while in my F150.

Exactly right, I slo mo’d it on my computer at home and it definitely fell off the bumper. It’s the receiver for the hitch that someone was in the process of installing. Looks like unfinished metal that was set and forgotten on the bumper.

Yup thats an adapter to use a 2" ball mount in a 2 1/2" hitch. -
