Well we decided to give it a go today being Sunday and all. I unloaded the pickup off the back which brought me down to around 27 tons. Creeped across and no problems. Thanks for the advice. I looked under the bridge and it looked pretty darn substantial to me. This kind of stuff just freaks me out. I don't want to be that guy on the news.

The rules say you have to video yourself crossing the bridge. You also need an assistant to film it from a short distance. Just before you cross you tell your assistant "hold my beer, watch this" lol

I can't have anybody's incriminating evidence lol. The ranch we are on had no cows on it yesterday and last night the brought in several hundred. They had to have been brought in with pots which had to have gone over this bridge. Made me feel more comfortable.

Some bridges carry a fire truck (Department) rating sign which is really small and in the grass near it. Those are the ratings I go by. I was or used to be confronted with a now replaced 6 ton bridge back home, and the fire dept deemed that bridge capable of accepting 50,000 pound three axle fire pumpers. I usually crossed it right about that much depending on how much the cows produced that day. Tractor first then trailer.
