Go in a little scales a little heavy on axle in Kansas.
Or just ask. Tell them what’s it for, they will do it for quota, unless it’s freaking cold or raining/snowing then you’ll probably just get a level 3

Last time I rolled through the scale. I was told highway patrol does them.

That was over 10 years ago.

And everytime I saw blitz's. The scale was packed with highway patrol.

Had that problem for a while. Finally got inspected in Florida. Piece of cake. No BS like some States. Explained my situation. Officer said Volunteer next time. He said they get a lot of Volunteers in January. I imagine because it can be used in lieu of paying for an annual inspection at the Truckstop or Shop.

Spring, maybe summer 2023. NB 1-75 north of Tampa. Missing mudflap on Tractor. No problem. Got almost home in Mi. DOT wrote a warning for it. I had a trailer, questioned it. His answer was because I had the hanger, it was a violation based on the wording of regulations, He’s wrong all day long.

Reason I asked is that I heard recently they weren’t doing volunteer inspections anymore. My last inspection was almost a year ago in NC at the weigh station after spending the night there.

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.

Because that's not how it should be. You've just had a good technician thoroughly inspected you truck and then went straight to the scale to get a clean inspection...

Within a year and Brokers not satisfied? Look it up on safer. Maybe it’s not on there, or maybe Carrier911 is giving out false information like they did with me.
