    Have been using ATBS for years. They do pretty well if the owner op gets the tax organizer in on time. They did send me an estimated tax voucher in January for $15,000 bucks which I knew was way wrong because for one thing they hadn't factored in my per diem write-off from the tax organizer yet.

    Fast forward to May (never paid the $15k) they say I owe $zero State $zero federal but a few bucks in self employment taxes.

    Overall I like the convenience of having them. I just take a picture of any receipts, covert the pic to .pdf file and email it to them, they do the rest. I don't even have to send them fuel receipts anymore-- just gave them my EFS card number and pin and they look up my fuel purchases for me.

    I was wondering how much of a business purchase, ie., tires would be counted towards your taxes? Would it be better at the end of the year to buy all new tires, instead of paying the money towards taxes? Does it work like this??

    You need to get up to speed fast ... these are things you need to know before you start a business, not after you started. Managing your financials is the single most important thing in running your business. You might be able to stumble along and make a living. Maybe.

    I would recommend you take a few of these courses.

    I'm paranoid when it comes to the weight thing. Most I've decided to go ahead and drive with it being over was 34040 on my drives. And that's still with me realizing more and more nowadays that I take long trips from start to finish without ever being called into a weigh station at all.

    I am constantly fighting the weight, we usually run pretty heavy loads all the time.

    I will re weight 8 times if I have too, I'd rather spend $20.00 at a scale, than $500.00 to the DOT.. Lol

    I need to get some heavier steering tires, I can run up to 12,600 on my current set but would like to get the 16ply that allow you up to 14,000 ish..

    This sliding axels has been a learning experience for some one who always had spread axels.. Lol

    scotties67? Is it a 100% of the purchase cost or what is the % of what is purchased goes towards taxes..

    I just wonder because I have been putting so much in savings, I wonder if I would have more money for a few comfort ideas like a new bed, or new tires ext..

    I suse hope I follow your path when it comes to taxes... Lol
