    Peroxide. Bug goo is protein, peroxide will foam up when it comes in contact with bug goo and cut it right off. It will not harm paint or chrome, but it will remove wax from the finish. Wax the surface after you remove the bugs to restore wax protection. This is how I used clean bugs from my bikes, when I rode. (can't ride'm anymore) Never harmed the finish, but always had to re wax the surface.

    Put some wax on your chrome, it will come off easier
